A key focus of the coming years will be working with the State and Federal Governments to establish Melbourne Airport Rail; to complete redevelopment of Sunshine and Albion Stations; and the realisation of the Sunshine Precinct Masterplan which will Sunshine transformed into a CBD, vastly increasing local jobs, housing, businesses, services and tourism to provide for the many tens of thousands of people living, working and travelling through the Brimbank.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Permanent staff member to join our team based at our Operations Centre in Keilor Park.

The role

Reporting to the Parks Development Crew Leader - Horticultural Maintenance, we are seeking a Qualified Horticulturist who can bring their skills and experience in the maintenance of Brimbank council's Roundabout network.

To be considered you will have:

  • Certificate III in Horticulture - Parks and Gardens
  • Knowledge of horticultural principles and practices.
  • Experience in coordinating contractors relating to traffic management.
  • Skill and competency in the operation and maintenance of small plant and equipment for landscape maintenance works.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Occupational Health & Safety Procedures; Quality Procedures; VicRoads Codes of Practice in relation to Traffic Control Signage and Directions.
  • Knowledge and understanding in all matters of safe plant use; work practices and workplace safety.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Ability to work to a program.
