As General Manager of Employment Services, you will lead the delivery of four diverse and impactful programs across multiple regions: Workforce Australia, Career Transition Assistance, Transition to Work and Parent Pathways. Each program brings unique opportunities and challenges, working with a wide age range of participants and balancing both outcome-based and non-outcome-based contracts. With a footprint spanning SA, NSW, VIC and the ACT, you will guide a team of around 120 passionate staff through three experienced State Managers.

Key responsibilities
- Lead, manage and maintain a positive workplace culture that aligns with our values and inspires teams to be their best.
- Implement operational plans that deliver on organisational and portfolio level strategy.
- Ensure performance results across multiple operational lines are ahead of national average and/or competitors.
- Drive consistent, high quality service delivery by embedding effective procedures and processes across all areas of operation.
- Deliver sustainable profitability through effective financial oversight, operational efficiency and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Oversee reporting and operational performance metrics, adjusting strategy where required.
- Ensure compliance with legislative, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
Skills and Experience
We are seeking an experienced leader with:
- Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams and develop leaders to meet emerging organisational needs.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and consult with a wide range of audiences.
- Demonstrated experience delivering high quality, compliant services within complex contracts and diverse participant cohorts.
- Solid commercial acumen with experience in financial management, business performance monitoring and driving sustainable profitability.
- Track record of embedding processes and systems that support service quality, customer relationships and operational efficiency.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities, manage risk and deliver innovative solutions aligned to organisational purpose and values.
- Experience working with Workforce Australia contracts and stakeholders, with a deep understanding of governance, compliance and sector requirements.
