About the Role

Masscon are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to provide support to contracts management and cost control team, reporting to Sr. Contracts Administrator or Construction Manager.  You will learn from the best in the business and be a part of a property development group that are looking to grow their team due to a rapid expansion in their pipeline of projects.

You will be responsible for managing the complete Procurement, Subcontract Management & Cost Control  processes involved in the construction of high end class 2 residential projects.

To succeed in this role, you must be a good listener, who wants to step up and take on more responsibility. You must be proactive, a forward thinker, have an excellent can-do attitude and understand our vision and work to deliver that through design and approvals.

The Key Duties

This role is ideally suited to a building and construction professional with 5 or more years experience in residential development projects.

  • Work with the Construction  Manager for setting up head contracts & preparing construction cost budgets (detailed quantity based)
  • Review construction documents, interpret drawings and prepare Scope of Works for contractors
  • Tendering & Letting contracts for all trade works and supplies through Procore
  • Process contractors claims, variations, EOT and administer the contracts till final account.
  • Quantity take-off from drawings (through Buildsoft Cubit or Bluebeam) for all project materials and sub-contract works for budgeting and procurement purpose.
  • Prepare periodic cost reports through Jobpac, such as CTC, cost reconciliations, procurement schedule status, quarterly contract review etc
  • Administer the subcontracts throughout project lifecycle, tenders invitations to the deed of releases
  • Issue payment schedules to all invoices as per SOP (PayApps)
  • Maintain compliant project record documentation

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in similar role
  • Hand-on experience in using Jobpac, Cubit or similar applications. well versed with all MS office programs, Bluebeam and Acrobat or similar
  • Integrity, honesty and high ethical standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive, driven and have initiative
  • Strategic analytical and systems thinking approach to problem solving
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • You must be highly organized and possess the ability to priorities and meet deadlines consistently.
