ARC (The Australian Reinforcing Company) is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Townsville branch as an Operator. This full-time role isn't just a job – it's a chance to dive into Queensland's vibrant lifestyle while advancing your career with Australia's industry leader in steel reinforcement.
If you're new to the industry and looking to learn, this is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in the heart of Queensland. Townsville offers the best of both worlds a coastal lifestyle and the opportunities of a growing regional city. Our branch network across Australia offers incredible opportunities for learning and development, making it a fantastic place to build a long-term career. An excellent opportunity for someone with experience or just starting out, full training will be provided.
This role offers a competitive EBA pay structure that grows with your skills and generous relocation bonus of $1500 plus specific relocation assistance - removalist expenses, flights, and temporary accommodation.
Your hours will be Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am – 4pm, and Friday 7:30 am – 2pm, with overtime available.
In this role you will:
- Operating manual benders, shearlines & off coils to shape, cut and process bar
- Inputting job tags on machines to produce steel products
- Operate a forklift and overhead gantry crane as you will be picking, packing, loading, and unloading trucks
- Play an active role in promoting a safe workplace and working collaboratively
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who may be new to the industry but is excited to develop hands-on skills and build a rewarding career with ARC.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a positive, can-do attitude and a strong desire to learn new skills
- Shows a natural ability to think on their feet and solve problems
- Values a safe work environment
- Enjoys working as part of a team and brings enthusiasm to collaborative efforts
- Ideally has a forklift license and experience – but we're happy to train you if not
- Crane operation experience or ticket is a bonus, though not required as we can train you on the job
If you're eager to learn, motivated to work safely, and excited to be part of a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
