In 2021, NOMAD Melbourne on Flinders Lane opened its doors.With NOMAD Sydney as its foundation, the group ventured into the Melbourne dining scene, bringing with it the same passion for exceptional food experiences and sustainability ethos. This connection to NOMAD Sydney provides a sense of continuity and heritage, while also allowing NOMAD Melbourne to carve out its own identity within the local dining scene.

Inspiration pulled from travels through Spain, Morocco, and the Middle East paired with a strong belief that Australia, and even more so Greater Victoria, has some of the world's best produce, is what has shaped the venue's identity.

Where modern French cuisine meets historic grandeur. Opened in July 2023 and awarded AGFG "New Restaurant of the Year 2024" and "Two Hats", Reine & La Rue offers a modern French culinary experience set within a majestic cathedral space. Our friendly, charming, and knowledgeable service approach ensures an unforgettable dining experience. Composed of a grand and expansive dining room with a speak-easy style bar plus courtyard, Reine & La Rue is a space that has to be seen to be believed.

We Are

Established in 2013 edition is a dynamic and growing hospitality group. Dedicated to delivering forward-thinking hospitality experiences to the Australian dining scene. We prioritise attention to detail, and the exceptional treatment of both our Guests and Team Members.

The Opportunity

We're currently  looking for Bartenders to join the teams at NOMAD Melbourne Reine & La Rue. This role suits someone who's confident with guest interaction, has strong attention to detail, and brings initiative to every shift.

Experience in premium service is essential, along with a working knowledge of wines by the glass. Coffee skills are a bonus but not a must.

We also encourage any front of house professionals looking to move into the bar to apply.

Our ideal candidate will have

  • Experience working in high-volume, restaurant/bar environments.
  • A solid knowledge of spirits, wines, and beverages, and a passion for continued learning.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to keep things running smoothly in a fast-paced setting.
  • An eye for detail and a guest-first mindset, with a flair for adding personalised touches to the experience.
  • A collaborative and positive attitude, with a desire to lead by example and inspire those around you.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to high standards of service.
  • The ability to work independently, always showing professionalism, respect, and kindness.
  • Exceptional presentation and strong communication skills
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
