About the Role

As a Condition Assessor, you will play an integral part in supporting our engineering team by assisting with site inspections, gathering crucial data, and helping to shape the future of asset management. You will have the opportunity to dive deep into the world of asset condition assessments, working with various industry leaders to provide proactive solutions to asset management and degradation prevention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Inspections & Condition Assessments: Join the team to inspect and assess the condition of major facilities and assets across WA.
  • Cathodic Protection Systems: Assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced cathodic protection systems. Will require working in, on and around busy WA Port Facilities.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Work alongside engineers to create actionable insights and make recommendations for asset refurbishment and extended lifecycle management.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Undertake condition assessments for jetties, berths, buildings, and water utility infrastructure, recording results in accordance with client's condition assessment ranking profile.
  • Plan and coordinate with supervisors to prioritize condition assessments.
  • Coordinate the delivery of condition assessment work packages.
  • Provide planning, reporting (including detailed condition summaries and asset registers), and support to the line manager.
  • Coordinate and liaise with contractors for condition assessment activities.
  • Recommend improvements to condition assessment methods and maintenance management systems.
  • Comply with Innovative Corrosion Management's OH&S, Environmental, and Quality policies.

Who We're Looking For

  • Either a Trade Certificate in Instrumentation/Electrical OR a degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Quality, Environmental, and Safety Management Systems.
  • Understanding of ISO quality assurance systems and processes.
  • experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, preferably in marine or water utility environments.
  • Experience in inspecting jetties, berths, buildings, or water infrastructure is highly desirable.

Essential Criteria

  • Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or equivalent working rights in Australia.
  • Previous experience in a trade or similar hands-on field experience.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and a passion for developing technical expertise.
  • Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • A positive attitude towards new technologies and learning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites
  • Possession of an MSIC card or ability to successfully apply.
