We're seeking an Employment Tax Specialist (Senior Analyst) to join our growing team. This role is supporting our Sydney practice and at Deloitte we offer excellent work-from-home flexibility and benefits.
What will your typical day look like?
You will work as part of the Deloitte Global Employer Services (GES) team to support and advise some of Australia's and the world's largest and most innovative companies. You will work in an advisory capacity assisting our clients to navigate complex employment taxes matters, and understand and support their respective business needs. You will be working with a diverse client portfolio across a wide range of industries and sectors.
The work itself will involve advising on legislative requirements relating to payroll, PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and fringe benefits tax (FBT), mitigating compliance risks and providing innovative solutions. Each set of client circumstances presents its own challenges, so you will be able to continuously expand upon your expertise in this dynamic and ever-changing area of tax.
The GES team at Deloitte are at the forefront of exciting developments with automation and analytical solutions and you will have the opportunity to work closely with our innovation team to advise on design and implementation.
Deloitte GES will provide continual on-the-job and formal technical training as well as a mixture of clients to work with, giving you exposure to a broad range of issues and opportunities to build client relationships. You will be part of a wider client service team, working together with our global network of mobility tax specialists to provide holistic solutions to your clients.

Combining tax research and data analytics, we give advice on global compensation, visa and work permits, employment taxes, personal tax compliance and policy design for many of the world's largest companies and their employees.

- Experience in tax and legal research, and preparing tax advice
- Strong technical skills within the employment tax arena
- Confident in working with data and applying analytical analysis
- Experience working in an advisory capacity
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
