Azooa is responding to a Federal Government RFQ and we're looking for an experienced
Identity and Access Management (IAM) Support & Enhancement Specialist
to join our growing talent network.

You'll be supporting the
Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF)
to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant identity governance — helping to protect systems, applications, and data through the lifecycle of every user identity.

This is a
high-impact, high-trust role
working with
One Identity Manager by Quest
, in a hybrid delivery model based in Canberra.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll join a team responsible for day-to-day operational support, risk management, and ongoing enhancements to the IAM platform. Your work will help DAFF meet security and regulatory obligations while improving the digital identity experience across government systems.

Solution Support Responsibilities:

  • Resolve Level 1–3 IAM support tickets via the department's ITSM tool
  • Investigate and resolve identity-related incidents and user access issues
  • Monitor IAM system health, usage patterns, and compliance
  • Conduct audits, risk reviews, and access assessments
  • Support transitioning new identity functions into production
  • Maintain intranet content, knowledge base articles, and IT forms
  • Assist in MFA rollout and compliance monitoring
  • Provide after-hours and escalation support as needed (time and materials)

Enhancement Responsibilities:

  • Customize web interfaces for self-service portals
  • Design and implement workflows, automations, and access controls
  • Create IAM reports, templates, and dashboards
  • Develop and maintain roles, entitlements, and separation-of-duty policies
  • Conduct testing, documentation, and deployment of enhancements
  • Manage configuration packaging, migrations, and release processes

Major Enhancements (As Needed):

  • Participate in larger projects such as migrations, platform upgrades, or architectural changes
  • Contribute to solution design and technical validation
  • Collaborate with security, application, and infrastructure teams

Required Skills & Experience

We're looking for candidates who bring
both support and enhancement experience
in IAM systems and can operate in a secure, structured environment.

  • Hands-on experience with
    One Identity Manager
    (preferred) or similar IAM platforms like Okta, Ping, ForgeRock
  • Deep understanding of
    IAM concepts
    including identity lifecycle, entitlements, RBAC, and compliance
  • Familiarity with
    SAML
    ,
    OAuth
    ,
    OpenID Connect
  • Integration experience with
    Active Directory
    and
    Azure AD
  • Technical development experience in
    .NET (C#)
    and
    Angular
  • Skilled in
    RESTful APIs
    and
    SOAP services
  • Strong
    SQL Server
    experience including queries, tuning, and schema design
  • Automation and scripting using
    PowerShell
    and
    Python
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model with
    on-site availability in Canberra

Mandatory Requirements

  • Must
    hold or be eligible
    for
    NV1 security clearance
  • Must be
    Canberra-based
    or willing to work hybrid with in-person collaboration
  • Must comply with Australian Government security and ICT policies including:
  • Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
  • Information Security Manual (ISM)
  • WCAG 2.2 Accessibility Standards
  • Privacy Act 1988 and APPs
  • PGPA Act, WHS, and DAFF's internal security policies

  • A technical IAM specialist with a strong support background
  • Comfortable working across access controls, identity automation, and compliance
  • An excellent communicator who can engage confidently with stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable with documentation, policies, and risk frameworks
  • Experienced in government or highly regulated industries
  • Looking to work on a nationally significant platform supporting secure government access
