Our Branch

The key purpose of Information Services branch (ISB) is to deliver digital and information strategies, and the enabling technologies and leadership, to maintain and enhance Council's information, processes, and systems. ISB is the driving force behind Council's digital evolution, setting the direction for how digital technologies connect and extend services while optimising Council operations.

The Role

This pivotal role within the Digital Strategy Innovation and Architecture section of Council serves as an internal thought leader and innovator, dedicated to exploring and discovering new technology to enhance business and customer interactions. Leading technology enabled innovation from within the Information Services branch, this role collaborates with various Council business units, academia, research organisations, government, and tech vendors.

To be successful you will have:

• leadership excellence and oversight of delivery performance excellence; value-based culture in line with Council's Leadership Blueprint
• proven experience in creating processes and procedures based on organisational tolerance for risk and objectives
• experience in developing emerging technologies to further the business process and successfully market ideas for change
• demonstrated capability in leading IT innovation and research initiatives in complex environments by to enable the digitalisation of the business
• experience to deliver ideas and recommendations linked to organisational improvements and service delivery outcomes through innovation and emerging technology
• ability to operate within an organization's formal and informal structures, building stakeholder relationships to create sustainable results.
