SWSLHD Drug Health Services is seeking a visionary Team Leader to guide our Drug Court team—where clinical excellence meets social justice.

As Team Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping outcomes for participants in the Drug Court Program. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a multidisciplinary team of allied health clinicians and support staff delivering targeted therapeutic interventions
- Collaborating with judicial officers, legal representatives, JHFMHN staff, rehabilitation services, and other partners to design and monitor tailored treatment plans
- Providing clinical supervision and mentorship to ensure best-practice care and continuous professional growth
- Advocating for clients, ensuring access to the right resources aligned with their recovery goals
- Building and nurturing strong partnerships across internal and external networks to deliver integrated, person-centred care

The Drug Court Program is a unique initiative that supervises the community-based rehabilitation of drug-dependent offenders. Once accepted, participants receive structured counselling, treatment, and case management—empowering them to rebuild their lives. All referrals are made through the court system, and your leadership will be instrumental in guiding this transformative process.
Where You'll Be Working
SWSLHD Drug Health Services operates across the South Western Sydney Local Health District, providing a comprehensive range of treatments and interventions for individuals, families, and carers affected by alcohol and other drug use.
The services include inpatient withdrawal at the 'Corella' unit in Fairfield, the Opioid Treatment Program, outpatient clinics, and specialised teams such as the Aboriginal Drug & Alcohol Team and the Youth Service. - Relevant tertiary qualifications which provide eligibility for membership with a professional organisation and/or current registration with AHPRA where applicable. A Counsellor must hold as a minimum a bachelor's degree in counselling or a related field (other qualification such as Social Work, Welfare or Psychology will be deemed equivalent)
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of the harm reduction approach to drug and alcohol issues and demonstrated experience in the provision of interventions with drug dependent clients including assessment, care planning and counselling.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a multidisciplinary team providing complex psychosocial
Interventions. - High level communication skills including the ability to prepare statistical and technical reports.
- Demonstrated experience in leading quality improvement initiatives.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
