About the Role

The position is responsible for providing expert management support in financial, budgetary, activity-based, and management accounting to assist in the effective delivery of Integrated Care, Allied Health, and Community Services within the Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD).

This role plays a key part in developing and managing annual budgets, preparing monthly financial and activity reports, and conducting ongoing analysis and review of operational and financial performance. A critical aspect of the role is partnering with senior leaders and cost centre managers to implement strategic initiatives, strengthen financial management controls, and enhance financial literacy across the organisation.

By offering financial insights and support, the role helps ensure services are delivered efficiently, sustainably, and in alignment with broader organisational goals.

This is a Full-Time Permanent role based in Port Macquarie.

About You

You are a qualified and experienced finance professional with relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive experience gained in a large, complex service industry organisation. Your background includes a strong track record of working within finance teams in government or non-government settings, where you have delivered timely, organisation-wide financial and business advice to support informed decision-making.

You bring a high level of expertise in business management and service delivery, with demonstrated capability in areas such as financial performance, activity-based costing, funding models, own-source revenue, and workforce planning. Your advice is both strategic and practical, supporting the needs of multidisciplinary teams within diverse service delivery environments. With excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, you are confident in your ability to consult, negotiate, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. You manage competing priorities with ease, applying strong organisational and problem-solving skills to ensure quality outcomes are achieved.

Your conflict resolution and people management skills are well developed, and you are proficient in using a range of software tools, including word processing, data management, and advanced spreadsheets. A current driver's licence and the flexibility to travel as needed round out your readiness to contribute to a dynamic and evolving healthcare environment.
