Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Hand to join our team. This role involves assisting with the day-to-day operations of our concrete sleeper yard, including loading and unloading materials, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and supporting production and dispatch activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely load and unload concrete sleepers and other materials using forklifts or manual handling.
  • Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain yard cleanliness and organisation.
  • Assist with basic maintenance of equipment and tools.
  • Operate machinery and vehicles as required (e.g., forklift, loader).
  • Follow WHS procedures and report any hazards or incidents.
  • Support production staff with tasks as needed.
  • Perform stock checks and assist with inventory management.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or construction environment.
  • Must have Forklift licence (LF).
  • HR Truck License highly desireable.
  • Ability to perform physical labour and lift heavy items.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
