We're on the lookout for a friendly, approachable, and well-organised team member who's available to work Tuesday through Saturday. If you bring a positive attitude and a bit of artistic flair, you'll thrive in this role — especially in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where no two days are the same.

About the role:

At Bunnings, we are committed to giving back to the communities in which we operate. Our Activities Organisers facilitate this by driving meaningful and active participation in our local community groups, as well as campaigning support for national causes, charities and organisations.

As the Activities Organiser, you will play the important role of planning and coordinating a wide variety of in-store and community engagement activities. This could include organising weekend sausage sizzles, coordinating community fundraisers, running DIY workshops for both kids and adults alike, and overseeing hands-on activities such as plant potting stations and craft workshops.

We provide an adult pay rate for 18 years of age and above at $29.86 per hour for this role.

What's involved:

  • Organise, implement and manage all public and in-store activities including kids craft, DIY workshops, supplier demonstrations, family nights and holiday-themed activities for your team

  • Visit local schools and community groups to deliver workshops and community projects

  • Manage donations and fundraising activities for our local schools and community groups

  • Building relationships with local community groups and be the key point of contact at their local Bunnings

  • Ensuring all planned activities align with safety and operational guidelines

Who we're looking for:

You are a community minded person who enjoys participating in and supporting local schools and community groups. We are looking for an approachable, friendly individual with a diverse perspective, motivated to unite the local community and bring its people together. We're genuinely invested in your career and no matter where you start with us, that pathway is yours to build.

You'll have:

  • A genuine passion for supporting and being involved in the community

  • Creativity to design and deliver workshops and activities

  • Ability to be organised, plan events and manage your time effectively

  • The passion to foster meaningful connections with local organisations

When you're ready to give this opportunity a Red Hot Go, all you'll need to do is:

  • Submit an application and complete an online chat interview (20 minutes)
  • If successful, next step includes an online video interview (15 minutes)
  • If you're a match, we'll invite you to an onsite meet and greet with our leaders (20 minutes)
