​A​n iconic​ heritage-listed pharmacy specializing in Pharmaceutical Compounding and Natural Health is s​e​eking to employ a part-time pharmacist in charge NOW for hours per week. The ideal candidate would be experienced in non-sterile pharmaceutical compounding and able to oversee and manage the safe and effective operation of the pharmacy, offer expert advice to our customers, ​support a team of other practitioners, and contribute to the overall success of our pharmacy. ​O​ur ​s​tore is open Monday to Friday (no weekends or after hours) and closes at 5.30 pm (7 pm on Thursdays). The hours are negotiable.

What you'll be doing

  • Accurately compound and dispense prescriptions
  • Maintain patient and compounding lab records in accordance with all relevant laws and guidelines
  • Take the responsibilities of a pharmacist in charge
  • Provide over the counter patient advice on medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

​What we're looking for

  • Registered Pharmacist with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent​ with additional qualifications in herbal medicine and/or homeopathy.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a community pharmacy ​a​nd pharmaceutical compounding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with patients and healthcare providers
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centred care and upholding the ethical standards of the pharmacy profession
  • Proficient in the use of pharmacy POS software and other relevant technology
  • The position is best suited for a pharmacist with fluent English, excellent communication skills, and social personality.
