Range Operator Leading Hand

We currently have an opportunity for a Range Leading Hand. Join our Defence - Training Area and Range Management team and play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Defence training areas and ranges. Reporting to the TAOS, Lands & Range Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
What You'll Do (key responsibilities)
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Delivering daily Range Services briefings
- Acting as TARM Supervisor when required
- Leading and supporting a small team in range operations
- Facilitating safe access to and from Defence range areas
- Conducting range maintenance and supporting Army exercises
What You'll Bring (experience required)
- Australian Citizenship (required for Defence security clearance)
- Current MR (or higher) Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to obtain workplace First Aid (Certificate II), Range vehicle licences, and Fire qualifications (Wildfire Response & Suppression)
- Intermediate literacy and computer skills
- Strong work ethic, safety focus, and excellent customer service skills
