About the Role
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing the successful delivery of complex IT and cybersecurity projects using appropriate methodologies to achieve effective and sustainable business outcomes. This role provides leadership and direction to project teams, collaborates with key stakeholders, and ensures technology solutions align with organisational goals.
The key responsibilities of the position will include:
Leading on the planning, executing and reporting on multiple and concurrent projects, delivering complex information technology solutions with enterprise-wide impacts.
Planning, forecasting, managing and reporting project costs, benefits, schedule, scope, quality and risks to the expectation of project stakeholders and customers
Collaborating with multiple and varied stakeholders across all levels of the University to deliver projects and desired business outcomes in a transparent, effective and measurable way.
Establishing and maintaining agile based ways of working (where appropriate) to manage, refine, and prioritise the activity backlog based on relevant customer and IDS priorities.

About You
As the Senior Project Manager, you will have extensive experience in agile and other project methodologies, strong relationship management capabilities, and hold current industry certifications. A growth mindset and excellent communication skills are essential, with higher education experience highly desired.

4+ years of experience in senior project management.
Your ability to be flexible and adaptable with proven experience working across multiple projects concurrently.
A positive outlook and growth mindset that is at the core of their leadership style.
Extensive experience in agile project management for the delivery of large, complex, enterprise-level projects comprising multiple agile teams and/or requiring integration with other activities outside the scope of the agile teams.
High level skills in leading a team to its full potential, including advanced interpersonal and relationship management skills and the ability to manage staff performance, including unsatisfactory performance.
Ideally have some experience in Higher Education or similar.

Information and Digital Services (IDS) are a pivotal resource of the University, providing information and digital technology services and support to the Flinders University staff and student community. The IDS team apply technical expertise to support university projects and provide core services such as the IDS Service Desk, Audio Visual, Simulation and Event Services, Information Security and Identity Access Management services, and more.
