Due to business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Traffic Controller to join our team.

About the role:

  • Set up, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control devices (signs, barriers, cones, etc.) in accordance with approved traffic management plans (TMPs).
  • Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic using stop/slow batons, hand signals, or other approved methods.
  • Monitor traffic conditions and adjust control measures as necessary to maintain safety and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Communicate clearly with other traffic controllers, site personnel, and the public.
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies or changes in worksite conditions.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and any near misses.
  • Conduct pre-start checks of equipment and signage to ensure functionality and compliance

About You

  • Valid Traffic Control Certification (TC2/TMI2 and above.
  • Construction White Card
  • Current and valid driver's license
  • Familiarity with local road rules and worksite safety regulations.
  • Previous experience in traffic control or construction
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure environments.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and work in all weather conditions.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends or nights if required
