The role of Financial Controller in the manufacturing industry involves overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The role will be widely scoped incorporating hands-on activities in addition to supporting the SLT with commercial insights to support strategic initiatives and decisions.

Description

The Financial Controller will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee the organisation's financial reporting and budgeting processes.
  • Manage a small team of 3 - 4 people across finance & administration
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage cash flow, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to support business decisions.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements and management reports.
  • Supervise and guide the accounting team to ensure high performance.
  • Oversee tax compliance
  • Partner with operations
  • Collaborate with external auditors and other stakeholders as required.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and process improvements.

Profile

The Financial Controller will be:

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA or CA (or working towards them).
  • Strong technical skills in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Experience in the professional services industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
