About the role

Extreme Dentistry is a surgical and prosthodontics based practice in need of a surgically oriented nurse. This position is demanding and requires a nurse to be fast and efficient.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting the dentist during procedures by preparing equipment, handing instruments, and providing patient care and comfort
  • Performing front desk duties such as greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and handling payment processing
  • Maintaining sterilisation and infection control protocols
  • Ensuring the dental operatory is clean, organised, and well-stocked
  • Providing excellent customer service and addressing patient inquiries and concerns
  • Updating and maintaining accurate patient records and documentation

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Dental Nurse or Dental Assistant is preferred for this role, but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients and other team members in a friendly and professional manner
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in using dental software and office equipment
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient care
  • Certificate III or diploma in Dental Assisting or a related healthcare field is preferred
  • Candidates with no experience or qualifications need to exhibit aptitude and motivation for their application for this role in their cover letters
