Catering Assistant

The Opportunity

Our John Flynn Private Hospital caters to a wide range of nutritious meals to patients. As part of our Catering team, you'll collaborate with a dynamic and fast-moving group dedicated to providing outstanding customer service.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing and serving meals and beverages in accordance with dietary requirements and hospital standards.
• Maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe working environment at all times.
• Assisting the broader catering team with daily operations and special requirements.
• Monitoring and managing stock levels to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Working across a rotating 7-day roster, including morning and afternoon shifts.

Your Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will be a reliable team player with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to patient care and food safety.

You will also demonstrate:

• A solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional manner.
• The ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Previous experience in a hospital or commercial kitchen setting (highly regarded but not essential).
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster.
• A willingness to embrace and promote Ramsay Health Care's core values.
• Certificate II or III in Hospitality (desirable).
• Knowledge of HACCP and food handling compliance.

Renumeration: A base hourly rate ranging from$ $ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD Support Services level 1.1 – Level 1.2).

Requirements

• Must provide aNational Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
