The Role: Electrical Design Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Design Manager to join our dynamic and supportive engineering team. In this role you will lead a team of engineers delivering high-quality electrical design projects. You will also work alongside to assist our Directors, Associates and Senior Electrical Engineers, on a wide range of minor and major projects across Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers

  • Oversee the review and coordination of detailed underground and overhead electrical designs for:

  • Powercor

  • Ausnet
  • Jemena
  • United Energy
  • Ensure designs comply with distributor standards and AS3000 requirements and ensure consistent application across projects
  • Liaise with internal designers and engineers to ensure interdisciplinary coordination and review
  • Manage project timelines, resources and budgets

What You'll Bring

· Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.

· years' experience as a Design Manager or Project Manager (PM2/PMC) on distributor-related projects

· Solid knowledge of:

  • Victorian electricity distributor standards
  • Australian electrical codes and AS3000
  • Electrical systems and design practices

· Strong communication and leadership skills

· Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability

· Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively
