The Role
TasTAFE is seeking an experienced Project Lead to drive the successful delivery of major strategic initiatives within Tasmania's clean energy and vocational education landscape.
This three year full time fixed term role will be based at one of our Burnie, Devonport, Launceston or Hobart campus locations. This dynamic role will be at the forefront of the Turbocharging TAFE Centres of Excellence, Advancing Higher Apprenticeships, and the Tasmanian Clean Energy Centre of Excellence projects - delivering impactful outcomes that directly support Tasmania's transition to a clean energy future.
What you'll do:
- Lead the implementation and management of clean energy and higher apprenticeship projects from planning through to execution and completion.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including TasTAFE staff, the Tasmanian Government, the University of Tasmania, contractors and industry partners
- Oversee budgeting, tender processes, procurement and risk management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Provide high level, strategic advice and project updates to TasTAFE Executive, Skills Tasmania and steering committees
- Develop and implement effective stakeholder engagement and change management strategies
What you bring:
- Demonstrated success managing complex, multi stakeholder projects to completion
- Strong understanding (or ability to acquire) of the clean energy or vocational education sectors
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Experience in procurement, budgeting and business process improvement
- Strategic thinking, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and make sound decisions
A current Working with Vulnerable People registration is required, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
