The Nursing Executive Support Manager (NESM) works in collaboration with the Director of Nursing & Midwifery Services (DONM) and Deputy Director of Nursing & Midwifery Services (DDONM). The NESM will provide support to the Nursing Executive to assist with the day to day administration and operations of the nursing service. The role involves management of special projects, critical analysis of information relating to nursing and hospital business, problem solving and troubleshooting within the organisation, management of Nursing Executive correspondence and participation on Executive Committees.

Selection Criteria

  • Registered Nurse who holds current unconditional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Extensive clinical and management experience and possesses post graduate qualifications in Health Management or working towards same.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills, the ability to support, coach and mentor staff to achieve service and professional goals.
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary health care delivery challenges impacting on Nursing Services.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, achieve and monitor outcomes.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary management team.
  • Aptitude to utilize relevant information technology platforms, computer literacy, ability to trend and interpret data and provide relevant reports.
