Now, we're looking for an experienced Head Chef to take the reins of our kitchen and help shape the next chapter of Hobson's journey.

The Role

We're after someone who's passionate about food, thrives in a fast paced team setting, and brings strong leadership and organisation skills to the table. You'll be overseeing the day-to-day running of the kitchen — from menu development to summer — and mentoring a small but capable team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop seasonal menus that reflect our region and ethos
  • Oversee service and ensure consistent quality every time
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and relationships with suppliers
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
  • Lead, train, and support kitchen staff with clarity and respect
  • Costing dishes accurately to meet financial goals
  • Handle rosters, wages, and staffing logistics
  • Plan and deliver menus for private events and special functions

What You'll Bring

  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent culinary qualification
  • Background working in cafés environments
  • Proven experience in kitchen leadership
