Team Leader, headspace Early Psychosis

Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia Lives Lived Well Full time $106,379 - $111,094 per year

Step Into a Role That Changes Lives — And Shapes Futures

At headspace Early Psychosis, we're not just offering a job - we're inviting you to be part of something bigger. Our service supports young people aged 12 to 25 who are experiencing, or at risk of developing, psychosis. It's a space where compassion meets innovation, and where your leadership can make a lasting impact.

Join a team that's passionate, multidisciplinary, and deeply committed to walking alongside young people and their families on the journey to recovery.

Your Opportunity to Lead with Purpose

We're looking for a dynamic experienced leader to guide our Continuing Care and Functional Recovery Teams at headspace Southport. In this full-time, ongoing role, you'll provide both clinical and operational leadership to a team of up to 11 dedicated clinicians and specialist workers.

You'll work closely with our consultant psychiatrist and leadership team to:

  • Ensure high-quality, evidence-based care
  • Drive clinical governance and uphold Orygen model standards
  • Coordinate with the Meadowbrook Early Psychosis Hub for seamless service delivery

About the Teams You'll Lead

  • Continuing Care Team: Provides case management and care coordination for young people with complex needs.
  • Functional Recovery Team: Delivers innovative group programs (including adventure therapy) and individual recovery-focused support.
  • Specialist Services: Includes peer support, family work, and vocational/education coordination - all within a strong, collaborative framework.

This is a full time, ongoing position based out of our headspace Southport office.  The remuneration for this position will be commensurate with the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience and will range between gross $106,379 and $111,094 per annum plus superannuation and salary packaging benefits.

What You'll Bring

We're after a resilient, inspiring leader who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.

You'll have

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Proven leadership experience in multidisciplinary clinical settings
  • A deep understanding of youth development and mental health challenges
  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practice
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and time management abilities
  • A collaborative spirit and a passion for building high-performing teams
  • A current Australian Driver's License and QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

What matters most is that you'll live and breathe our values, which means:

  • You are humble, human, and full of hope.
  • You show up and share.
  • You ask: Why not? And what's next?
  • You leave a positive wake.

Why Join Us?

Because here, your work truly matters. You'll be part of a vibrant, social, and supportive team that's dedicated to youth mental health. And you'll enjoy:

  • Five extra days of paid leave annually
  • Ongoing professional development and access to headspace training
  • Regular clinical supervision, case conferencing, and debriefing
  • Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family
