- Design and implement algorithms for embedded deployment on SDR, FPGA, DSP, and GPU platforms
- Build simulation tools to support the training, testing, and validation of new algorithmic models
- Analyse complex time-series, frequency, and spatial datasets to extract actionable intelligence
- Provide technical leadership in the areas of algorithm design, system modelling, and mathematical formulation
- Integrate signal processing models into scalable, real-world production systems
- Optimise algorithms for performance, efficiency, and hardware constraints
- Document code and maintain a structured repository to support ongoing development and versioning
Skills and Experience Required
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in algorithm design, DSP, or signal intelligence
- Strong experience in real-time signal processing, RF analysis, or Electronic Warfare applications
- Proficiency in building high-performance algorithms that process sensor and RF data
- Practical knowledge of time-series analysis, spectral decomposition, sensor fusion, or statistical modelling
- Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
- Experience working in Linux environments and using modern development tools
Desirable Attributes
- Familiarity with SDR platforms and spectrum analysis techniques
- Experience with simulation frameworks and modelling environments
- Exposure to RF communications, radar, or EW-related systems
- Self-motivated, curious, and passionate about applying complex theory to real-world challenges
- Comfortable mentoring team members and advocating for algorithmic best practices
- A mindset geared toward continuous learning, experimentation, and technical excellence
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an R&D-rich environment and wants to play a direct role in shaping signal processing capabilities used in real-time defence applications.
