Advert Copy – Motor Mechanic

Botany Access Pty Limited ABN is in search of a Motor Mechanic to join the team on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, testing, and repairing petrol engines and the mechanical parts of lightweight plant and vehicles such as transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes and conducting installation, maintenance, repairs, commissioning, and modification of complex machinery driven by hydraulic/pneumatic principles as well as preventative maintenance a range of plant items, vehicles and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Planned and preventative maintenance of a wide variety of hire equipment including diesel and petrol plant, hydraulics, pneumatic and electric tools etc;

· Perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks other precision-based maintenance methods;

· Repair of worn and defective parts;

· Reassembling mechanical components, use of service manuals as required;

· Testing and adjusting parts after being repaired;

· Carrying out scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, as per our compliance and maintenance systems advise;

· Plan with team to correct equipment deficiencies and perform preventative maintenance on company equipment;

· Diagnosis and testing of parts;

· Maintain parts inventory and accurate records for every repair of maintenance work performed;

· Maintaining and servicing a vast range of machinery;

· Attending breakdowns, performing diagnostics, and repairing faults onsite;

Requirements:

  • Robust background in maintenance, service and repair of mobile plant and equipment;
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a can-do attitude;
  • Meticulous attention to detail and pride in completing work to a high standard;
  • Knowledge of workshop practices and WHS standards;
  • Dedication to quality workmanship and safe practices;
