As an Undergraduate Student in Midwifery with Darling Downs Health, you'll build confidence, grow your skills and be supported by a committed team.

What your day will look like….

You'll be closely supported by registered midwives as you assist with essential aspects of maternal and newborn care—monitoring wellbeing, supporting feeding and comfort, maintaining a safe environment and helping ensure every woman and baby feels cared for and respected. Your day will include engaging directly with families, documenting care, reporting observations using clinical tools, and contributing to a positive, values-driven team culture. You'll participate in safe work practices, quality improvement activities, and learning opportunities that strengthen your skills and confidence as you progress through your midwifery training.
