Step into a role where you'll be truly part of each woman's care journey—gaining hands-on experience, learning from passionate midwives, and making a real impact from day one. As an Undergraduate Student in Midwifery with Darling Downs Health, you'll build confidence, grow your skills and be supported by a committed team.
What Your Day Will Look Like….
You'll be closely supported by registered midwives as you assist with essential aspects of maternal and newborn care—monitoring wellbeing, supporting feeding and comfort, maintaining a safe environment and helping ensure every woman and baby feels cared for and respected. Your day will include engaging directly with families, documenting care, reporting observations using clinical tools, and contributing to a positive, values-driven team culture. You'll participate in safe work practices, quality improvement activities, and learning opportunities that strengthen your skills and confidence as you progress through your midwifery training.

- Dignity – you treat others with respect, display reasonableness and take pride in what you do.
- Innovation – you embrace change and strive to know more, learn more and do better.
- Courage – you respectfully question for clarity and have the strength and confidence to Speak Up.
