CloudMarc is partnering with a major enterprise client in Brisbane to engage a highly skilled Performance Engineer for a 3-month contract, with strong potential for extension. This is a hands-on role focused on performance testing, analysis, optimisation, and ensuring systems scale reliably across critical business services.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing, developing, and executing performance, load, stress, and scalability tests
  • Working with modern performance testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling, k6, or similar)
  • Analysing performance bottlenecks across application, API, integration, and infrastructure layers
  • Collaborating with architects, developers, SRE, DevOps, and QA teams
  • Preparing detailed performance test reports and recommendations for optimisation
  • Supporting performance tuning across backend, middleware, and cloud environments
  • Ensuring systems meet SLAs around throughput, response times, capacity, and reliability

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Performance Engineer / Performance Tester
  • Strong scripting and test framework experience (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, k6)
  • Solid understanding of APIs, microservices, cloud applications, and integration patterns
  • Ability to analyse logs, metrics, and telemetry (CloudWatch, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, New Relic, etc.)
  • Experience working in high-load enterprise environments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly explain findings to technical and business stakeholders
