Motorcycle Claims Officer

The opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Officer to join our Melbourne-based Motorcycle team. This position will see you provide delivery of superior claims service, determining proper policy coverage to conclude, investigate, evaluate and negotiate assigned cases.

Your new role

• Management of lodgements and repairs for Motorcycle Claims utilising multiple claims systems and processes
• Maintaining positive stakeholder relationships with the insured, agents and service providers
• Interpreting basic policy coverage and determining if coverage applies to claims submitted
• Receiving, recording and processing incoming insurance claims
• Authorizing payment within scope of authority, settling claims in the most cost-effective manner and ensuring timely issuance of disbursements and
• Identifying suspicious or potentially fraudulent claims and arranging investigations.

About you

• Previous experience in a similar role within Motor Claims is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with excellent communication, both written and verbal
• Strong negotiation, organisational, and time management skills.
• A quick learner who is comfortable with technology
• While not essential, a passion for motorcycles would be a plus
