About The Role
Based at our Clarendon Clinic, which is centrally located and close to multiple public transport routes, this is a great opportunity to increase your skills in community mental health. You will provide a high standard of clinical assessment, treatment and support to clients of the St. Vincent's integrated adult MHS and their carers, demonstrating excellence in discipline specific and recovery-focused case management skills
You will join a dynamic community mental health team operating under a recovery-oriented model of care, utilising the Strengths Model of Case Management.
- Work within the Strengths Model of recovery orientated practice
- Build a therapeutic alliance with the consumer and family/carers and actively engage them in the planning, delivery and evaluation of their care
- Undertake the assessment, provision of treatment and delivery of targeted interventions to consumers with complex mental health related needs and their family/carers in line with the Mental Health & Wellbeing Act 2022, SVMH policies and strategic direction
Classifications for this position will range from
- OT/SW Grade 2 Year 1 – Year 4 ($84, $97,266)
- Psychologist Grad 2 Year 1 – Year 4 ($87, $98,285.20)
Your Contribution
- Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy or Social Work
- Clinical Masters in Psychology and current Registration as a Psychologist under the Health Professions Registration Act 2005 (Vic)
- A minimum of at least 2 years post qualification within your profession, preferably within the mental health field
- Experience in the provision of assessment, discipline specific intervention and case management services to consumers with a serious mental illness and complex needs and their carers within a recovery framework
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Post-graduate qualifications in relevant area of specialty or in the process of achieving the same are desirable
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain/ Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain (Select which is applicable)
