As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be able to provide, plan and deliver comprehensive, high quality patient care to our Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. About the role

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the dynamic and supportive Allied Health team based at Wagga Wagga. You'll also be connect with a network of Occupational Therapists across the district, to provide collegial support and advice.

As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Provision of a comprehensive and effective occupational therapy service in collaboration with consumers, their families and carers using a range of clinical and professional interventions
  • Involvement in the planning, implementation and evaluation of services and identification, development and leading of clinical practice and quality improvement activities with other staff.
  • Providing clinical and team leadership within the daily running of the Aged Care Unit
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to Level 1/2 Occupational Therapists, Allied Health Assistants & students on clinical placement as required.

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and a current AHPRA registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
  • Advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experience across a range of areas, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice.
  • Experience in clinical and team leadership, including experience in staff and student supervision.
