About the role

This is a part-time Finance & Corporate Services Manager role with the Can Too Foundation, based in North Sydney. As the Finance & Corporate Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, corporate services and company secretariat functions of this not-for-profit organisation, playing a key role in supporting the organisation's mission and growth.

This position requires availability for 3 days per week.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the day-to-day finance and accounting activities and financial reporting
  • Assist the CEO with the preparation of the annual budget, forecasting, and cash flow and investment management
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial, tax, risk and reporting requirements
  • Overall management of the company secretariat function, including preparation and distribution of Board and committee papers, minutes and follow up actions.
  • Manage the organisation's corporate services, such as IT and facilities management
  • Support the CEO, working with pro bono management consultants, lawyers and others as required

What we're looking for

  • Degree qualified CA/CPA with appropriate experience (6+ years) in a full financial management responsibility in either a commercial SME environment or mid-tier accounting firm. Experience in the not-for-profit sector is desired.
  • Strong technical expertise in accounting, financial management, and reporting with IT proficiency in financial management software and MS Office
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate financial information for non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience as a Company Secretary (min 5+ years)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, with a solutions-oriented approach
  • Passion for the not-for-profit sector and a commitment to the Can Too Foundation's mission
  • Australian work rights are required for this position.
