Job description

Wongaburra is a 125 bed community based, not for profit Aged Care Facility in Beaudesert, located approx. 60 mins from Brisbane City and 60 mins from the Gold Coast.

We are seeking to recruit Personal Care Workers for permanent part-time work.
Availability for all shifts, e.g. morning, afternoon and night shifts.
National Police Certificate
Influenza and Covid-19 vaccinations
Commitment to resident-centred care
Strong work ethic and enjoy working as part of a team
Comprehensive onboarding and induction process
Ongoing training and development

Duties Essential to the Role.
Maintain effective communication with residents and their representatives, visitors and colleagues.
Must provide resident care services as outlined in the nursing care plan documents and within the scope of practice.
Maintain a safe, hygienic working environment and rectify unsafe situations by reporting hazards and incidents immediately.
Assist residents with their ADLs such as personal hygiene needs, continence care, oral care, meal assistance, leisure and lifestyle activities, behaviour management, etc.
Ensure residents' rooms and beds are clean and freshly made.
Ensure residents are clean, presentable and dress appropriately as per their choice or liking at all times.
Facilitate quality improvement activities to support ongoing delivery of care and services to residents, relatives and staff by completing CQI's, Hazard reports etc.
All resident related documentation must be completed in a timely manner.
Refer to Registered Nurse / Enrolled Nurse on all occasions where a resident's condition has changed or when care needs appear inappropriate. Commit to following directives from trained staff (EN / RN / CN / Physio) and Management in the performance of your duties.
Comply with all the relevant legislation and workplace policy and procedures at all times.
