Role Description

We are seeking a dynamic Community and Events Marketing Officer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing community events and initiatives for our company and our Owners Corporation clients while also managing our social media presence to drive resident engagement and brand awareness. The role also involves assisting in the preparation of marketing material and tender proposals. This position requires a creative and organized individual with a passion for building strong communities, delivering memorable experiences, leveraging social media, and producing engaging newsletters.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive and customised community engagement strategy to foster a sense of belonging and community among residents for various properties.
  2. Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events and activities, including but not limited to social gatherings, holiday celebrations, educational workshops, fitness classes, and volunteer opportunities.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including building management, social sub committees, finance departments and various stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of events and initiatives.
  4. Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors, and oversee event logistics to ensure successful outcomes.
  5. Cultivate relationships with residents, local businesses, and community organizations to enhance partnership opportunities and access to resources.
  6. Collect feedback from residents and analyse data to continuously improve the quality and relevance of community events and programs.
  7. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in community management and event planning to drive innovation and excellence.
  8. Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms, including Instagram and LinkedIn.
  9. Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and messages, and respond in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Utilize analytics tools to track and analyse social media performance and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  11. Stay current with social media trends, best practices, and platform updates to inform content strategy and maximize reach.
  12. Design and create newsletters to keep residents informed about community news, upcoming events, and important announcements.
  13. Assist with the preparation of marketing materials and tender documents for potential clients.
  14. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to gather content, including event schedules, community updates, and resident spotlights.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
  2. Minimum of 1 year of experience in community management, event planning, or related role, preferably in the residential property management industry.
  3. Proven track record of successfully planning and executing events of varying scale and complexity.
  4. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, team members, and external partners.
  6. Creative thinker with a passion for creating memorable experiences and fostering a sense of community.
  7. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator necessary.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software preferred.
  9. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate event schedules.
