The role:
We are seeking a Production Supervisor for our Muswellbrook Laboratory. The Muswellbrook laboratory provides sampling and testing services for our coal mining clients in relation to their coal production, shipping, and exploration initiatives.
This is a key leadership role, reporting to the Business Unit Manager and responsible for the day-to-day operations and planning. The focus of the role will be supervising teams performing preparation and testing of coal samples.
Your day to day will include but is not limited to:
Rostering staff and scheduling work to ensure client requirements are met in terms of timeliness and qualityEnsuring safety, quality and reporting requirements are fully satisfiedCreating a positive team culture centred on training and teamworkSupervision, coaching and training of a Preparation TeamParticipating in ongoing process improvement programsWhat's needed?
To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:
Sample preparation or laboratory experience necessarySupervisory experience desirableThe drive to achieve productivity targets and expected client turnaround times A QLD C Class manual drivers license and own transportSafety is an absolute. Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing is a requirement of working on site.
Must live locally in the Newcastle region. NO FIFO.
