HEAD CHEF

NEW UPCOMING Restaurant in Hawthorn is looking for a HEAD CHEF to join

our expert & independent team, with flair, fun, motivation and extra energy to

showcase their work.

Must be passionate about this wonderfull & challenging industry and love of fresh

food.

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees the kitchen operations, including inventory & purchasing supplies, cost

control

• Ensure smooth services

• Supervise train, and inspire kitchen staff

• Creating and updating menus, develop seasonal menus using fresh and quality

ingredients

• Maintain high standards of food presentations, consistency and quality

• Ensure compliance of food safety and hygiene standards

• Weekly team meeting with kitchen team and director

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to Create FANCY CANAPÉS

. Current First aid certificate (preferred but not compulsory)

• Advanced Diploma in Commercial Cookery or higher

• Minimum 3 years managerial experience in commercial kitchen as a Head Chef

• A creative flair in menu designs with the presentation and taste

• Ability to resolve escalated issues

• An effective team player

• Work with minimum supervision

• Able to manage budgets, cost control,

• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety and OH&S standards
