Maintenance Person – Glengara Retirement Village

Part time position working 2 days per week

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Person to join our welcoming and friendly team at Glengara Retirement Village, located in Tumbi Umbi, on a Part Time basis.  This role will allow you to utilise your knowledge and skills to make a real difference in the lives of our residents.

Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be committed to providing exceptional services and amenities that enhance the quality of life for our cherished residents. We're on the lookout for a Maintenance Superstar to join our team and become the driving force behind maintaining the pristine condition of our beautiful village grounds and facilities.

The position

Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining buildings, plant, equipment, gardens and grounds
  • Attending to all reactive and preventative maintenance across the villages
  • Coordinating trades and services to ensure repairs occur in a timely manner
  • Monitoring pest control
  • Cleaning of the outside facilities
  • Following all Workplace, Health and Safety standards and reporting any safety or security concerns

We're on the lookout for someone with:

  • General all-round handyman / maintenance experience
  • Great communication skills
  • Trade Certificate or equivalent experience (desirable)
  • Experience in working within the retirement industry an advantage
  • Full Open Drivers Licence
  • National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment including Drug and Alcohol Testing
