Brisbane, Queensland, Australia School Plus Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

At Our Patch Group, every child matters — their safety, their voice, and their right to thrive.

We're on the lookout for a passionate, experienced leader to step into the pivotal role of Head of Safety and Compliance. This is more than a compliance job — it's a leadership opportunity to shape a culture where child safety, quality, and continuous improvement are not just priorities, but part of our identity.

As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across safety, compliance, regulatory frameworks, and quality assurance in our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) programs.

You'll ensure our services not only meet — but consistently exceed — the standards of the National Quality Framework (NQF), creating safe, inclusive, and empowering environments for every child.

Why Join Our Patch Group?

At Our Patch, we believe in building vibrant, child-safe communities where children are not only cared for but empowered.

We are an innovative, growing organisation committed to best practice and systemic integrity.

If you're looking to make a meaningful impact in children's lives through visionary leadership in safety and compliance, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the development and execution of our Safety and Quality Strategy across all OSHC services.

· Foster a proactive, prevention-first culture of safety, centred on child wellbeing and voice.

· Provide expert guidance to the CEO and Board on risk, compliance performance, and regulatory requirements.

· Monitor and adapt to changes in legislation and sector standards to ensure best-in-class practices.

· Oversee robust internal audit, incident management, and service review frameworks.

· Design and maintain user-friendly compliance registers and monitoring systems.

· Drive policy design, implementation, and review processes, ensuring alignment with regulations and operational reality.

· Partner with coaches and service leaders to embed quality practices and support continuous improvement.

· Lead capability building across the organisation through training, mentoring, and professional development.

· Champion the use of data, evidence, and feedback to inform decision-making and enhance service delivery.

Your professional background would include:

· Demonstrated leadership experience in safety, compliance, or quality within education, health, childcare, or community services.

· Relevant qualification across early education, compliance or risk management, or quality assurance and governance.

· Expert knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Child Safe Standards.

· Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safety best practices.

· Proven ability to lead audits, investigations, and compliance reporting frameworks.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels.

· Ability to travel as required across various service locations.

Other Requirements

· Current Working with Children Check (or equivalent)

· National Police Clearance

· Current unrestricted Driver's Licence

· Full Australian working rights

What We Can Offer You:

A Leadership Team That Backs You:Join a collaborative, senior leadership team where your voice is valued, your expertise is respected, and cross-departmental support is always within reach.

Work That's Flexible and Purposeful:Enjoy a full-time, 38-hour week (Monday to Friday) with flexibility to adapt your work around the services and priorities you lead — because impactful leadership requires balance and clarity.

A Network of Support:You're never alone in your leadership. From Area Managers/ Coaches to internal experts, you'll be part of a connected, purpose-driven community who shares the load and celebrates the wins.

A Purpose-Driven Mission:Be part of something bigger — helping create safe, joyful, and empowering environments where every child can G.R.O.W., their voices are heard, and their imaginations are celebrated.
