About The Opportunity
Malcolm Thompson Pumps is seeking a motivated National Purchasing & Data Assistant to join our high-performing team near Perth Airport.
In this role, you'll support purchasing (local and overseas) and ensure our ERP system remains accurate and up to date. You'll also work closely with suppliers, Product Managers, and our National Distribution team to keep stock moving smoothly and data reliable.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Assist with purchasing activities, including routine and non-routine orders, supplier coordination, and monitoring deliveries.
- Maintain accurate ERP data by updating inventory settings, price books, and part numbers.
- Reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare Advanced Shipment Notifications (ASNs) and support warehouse operations.
- Investigate and resolve supply or delivery issues such as delays, incorrect or damaged goods.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, Product Managers, and internal teams.
- Contribute to process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Knowledge of procurement and ERP systems.
- Ideally, an understanding of engineering principles.
- Analytical, organised, and detail focused.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
