About the Role

The Internal Accounts Person plays a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organisation. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and finance functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, The role involves end-to-end processing of financial transactions, reconciliations, reporting, and providing support to management for financial planning and decision-making.

This is a hands-on role that suits someone who is detail-oriented, organised, and enjoys working across all aspects of accounting within a busy and collaborative office environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Recordkeeping & Transaction Processing

  • Manage the full accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles
  • Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and staff expense claims
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments (Below)
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system.

Banking & Reconciliations

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Month end accruals and journals
  • Payroll journals and labour reporting

Team & Communication

  • Collaborate with other project managers to ensure timely and accurate financial information
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and management

Skills & Qualifications

Certificate IV, Diploma, or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

  • Minimum 2–5 years' experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
  • Proficiency with accounting software (MYOB) - Internal system Ostendo
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
