Ready to Drive Real Change in Civil Infrastructure?Tenterfield Shire Council is looking for a full-time Plant Operator based in Tenterfield, NSW. The position plays a key role in delivering high-quality road construction and maintenance across the Council area.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operating and maintaining Council Water Carts and other road plant and machinery
- Assisting with road construction, maintenance and general labouring tasks
- Performing daily user maintenance checks of equipment, including small plant
- Installing road signs, guideposts, and erosion control measures
- Conducting traffic control as required
- Maintaining accurate records using tablet/iPad systems
- Communicating effectively with the public and internal teams
- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard

Is This You?To qualify, you will need a Certificate II in Civil Construction (or equivalent) and a Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence. A minimum of 2 years experience in road construction and maintenance operations is strongly preferred.
Additionally, the following skills, background and checks will be highly valued:
- Certificate III in Civil Construction (or willingness to obtain – support provided)
- Safework NSW Traffic Controller qualification
- General Construction (White) Card
- Certificate of Competency for the type of plant to be operated
- First Aid Certificate
