Governance & Compliance Service is seeking a highly motivated team player who will take an active role in organisational governance, compliance, and transparency. This role involves working within a small team of specialists who manage applications for Council-held information under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, as well as leading council's privacy application and data-breach processes, including playing a key role in policy and procedure development, and legislative compliance and reporting.

The successful applicant will have skills and experience in negotiation and customer service to deal with complex matters. They will have research and analytical skills, including demonstrated ability to apply legislation. Strong time management and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to prepare and review complex correspondence, documents, policy, and reports. Applicants who have prior experience processing applications for information are encouraged to apply

The role requires a varied education including a technical proficiency, experience and/or bachelor's degree (or equivalent), and extensive experience in a relevant or similar role. Local government experience is preferred.

Remuneration: base salary commencing at $96,443 gross per annum

+ 12% superannuation

+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary

+ annual award increase
