Role Description:

As a Sydney Walking Tour Guide, you will play a vital role in providing engaging and informative walking tours to visitors. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional and memorable experience, sharing interesting facts, historical information, and local anecdotes about the various sights around Sydney. This position requires excellent communication skills, a friendly and approachable attitude, and the ability to adapt to diverse group dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead walking tours in popular Sydney areas, including the CBD & The Rocks.

  • Provide an entertaining commentary, combining storytelling with facts (don't worry this information will be provided) and answering questions from tour participants.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants throughout the tour.

  • Maintain a professional and positive image while representing Sydney and I'm Free Tours.

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest information on Sydney's attractions, events, and any other relevant updates.

Requirements:

  • Passion for Sydney and its history, culture, and landmarks.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse groups of people.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and an enthusiastic, friendly demeanor.

  • Time management skills to ensure tours run smoothly and adhere to schedules.

  • A good level of physical fitness to be able to lead walking tours throughout the day.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative while following guidelines and tour routes.

Conditions:

Shifts work well around University or other commitments as they are generally 3 hours in a morning, so we can work with your timetable and availability Tours walk throughout the week, so we require at least one weekday and one weekend day availability but more is also possible.

Salary and Benefits:

I'm Free Tours offers a base pay based on the miscellaneous award as well as the chance to earn a tips component. In addition to monetary compensation, you will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant and dynamic environment, meet people from all over the world, and explore the iconic sights of Sydney on a regular basis.
