About Us

We're Dave's Travel Group, and we run award-winning tours in Sydney and beyond. Our tours are all about local stories, good people, great drinks and fun experiences.

This summer is set to be huge – with cruise ships returning, international groups rolling in and travellers looking to explore Sydney's best. So we're looking for Dave's (all our guides are called Dave btw) to join our growing crew.

If you're someone who loves Sydney, loves people, and loves telling a good story — we want to hear from you. We operate year round and get very busy in Summer


What You'll Be Doing

You'll be guiding small groups on one (or more) of our signature tours:

  • The Rocks Pub Tour – Sydney's wild colonial tales and legendary drinking holes
  • Hunter Valley Wine Tours (Departing from Sydney) – Cellar doors, cheese, chocolate and a chilled-out day in wine country
  • Blue Mountains Tours – Iconic views, wildlife and stories off the beaten path
  • Brewery Tours – Go behind the scenes at Sydney's best craft breweries and educate the guests on the brewing process
  • Sydney Food Tours – Bite-sized walks through some of Sydney's coolest suburbs
  • City & Bondi Walking Tours – Light and lively strolls through the city and also around Bondi

We'll match you to the best fit based on your interests and availability. Driving and non-driving roles available.


What We're Looking For
  • Confident communicators with personality
  • People who genuinely enjoy meeting others
  • Interest in beer, wine, history, food or local culture (or all of the above)
  • Availability week days and weekends (some Dave's guide once a month, some guide multiple tours a week)
  • Digital Literacy, its 2025 and everything we do is online, so you'll need to be able to check guests into our Fare Harbor booking system, communicate with the team on slack and load receipts into Xero
  • Bonus: a P2P license or higher (LR, MR etc) for those interested in driving tours or a willingness to get one. P2P is free and easy to obtain with an eye test at Services NSW.

No guiding experience required – we train all new guides through our "Aspiring Dave" process.
