Your responsibilities
Identify capable businesses in new industries and provide them with information on departmental programs and initiatives and other opportunities to support growth, investment and supply chain development.
Leverage your networks to facilitate and assist industry to connect with all levels of Government.
Lead strategic projects or studies related to new industries.
Support planning and delivery of economic priorities of regional communities
Provide briefings, submissions, reports and other documentation as required.
Represent the department at meetings, committees and industry events.
Develop effective relationships with industry, all levels of government, peak industry bodies and other key stakeholders, to support delivery of regional outcomes.

This includes initiatives that develop and promote the international competitiveness and capability of Queensland's defence, biofutures and biomedical industry sectors.
