Corporate Finance Analyst

About the role

This is a full-time opportunity located in Brisbane CBD.

Join Stanwell's Corporate Finance team to support strategic investment decisions and financial performance in Queensland's dynamic energy sector.

Key activities include:

• Developing and maintaining financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, assess financial performance, and support forecasting and budgeting functions to enable data driven decision making across the organisation.
• Supporting the Corporate Finance Specialist with the development of financial models, preparation of reports and dashboards, and delivery of insights that inform strategic investment decisions and improve financial performance.
• Conducting scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate the financial impact of different strategic options, assess risks and uncertainties, and support informed decision making under the varying market and operational conditions.
• Collaborating across various teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure financial models and analysis reflect operational realities and strategic priorities across the business.

About you

• A bachelor's degree in; Finance, Economics, Commerce, Accounting, Business or Mathematics.
• Intermediate excel and financial modelling capability and experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of financial models.
• Experience in the energy sector (desirable)
• Understanding of derivatives and trading products (desirable)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, build strong working relationships across diverse teams, and influence decision making through well-structured insights.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
