My Word Health is looking for a Key Worker to join our close-knit team.

If you are interested in empowering children to live whole, healthy, and happy lives together then this is the role for you Opportunities to include work from home days and rostered days off are also available. My Word Health is looking to expand our reach and support children in rural areas. We are building a team in Wagga and surrounds to add further services to our current broad reach from our head office in Albury Wodonga to ensure no child is left behind.

The Team

Our team at My Word Health bring together a wide variety of professionals to collaborate for the purpose of empowering the children we provide services for. We support each other whole-heartedly, celebrate wins together, and work together to achieve a common goal. As well as providing high-quality allied health services, we also focus on having fun together and celebrating each other. We meet regularly for team lunches and Team Wellness Days to ensure we have a good balance of work and play.

Role of a Key Worker

  • Provide assessment and intervention for children using the Key Worker model and a family-centred approach
  • Provide consultation and oversight of programs, to clients, the My Word Health team and any other relevant professionals
  • Work collaboratively with Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, clients, families, schools, preschools, and any other necessary professionals to provide holistic therapy programs
  • Empower children and their families to assist them to meet their NDIS goals

The Remuneration

We understand that there's more to a job than just a pay check, however, we also offer an exciting and flexible remuneration package that lets you choose how you would like your salary to look. From a flexibility side, we proudly offer the opportunity to work part of the role remotely, choose your own caseload, decide how much travel you would like involved in your role, and when you would like to take your annual leave with no restrictions.

Skills & Experience

To be eligible to apply for this role, you will need to have completed at least 4 years of tertiary study, including an accredited teacher education program, at a recognised university or higher education institution, such as:

  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and/or Primary)
  • A combined or double degree, for example, a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and/or Primary)
  • An undergraduate degree and an accredited graduate entry teaching degree, for example, a Master of Teaching (Primary)
  • Additional studies in disability, special education, or allied health are desirable
  • Minimum 5 years teaching experience
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes and utilise evidence-based practice
  • Professional, warm and empathetic approach to clients
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and provide excellent services to children within a team environment

Other Requirements

  • Registration with your Teaching Body
  • Current NSW and VIC Working With Children Check
  • Valid National Police Check
  • NDIS Mandatory Worker Certificate
  • Current Drivers Licence and reliable car
  • Current First Aid Certificate
