Prestige Jayco is a family-run business, and we are looking for the right person to join our team as a Caravan Technician specialising in mechanics at our Service Centre.
The role will allow you to develop into a caravan technical expert, where you'll get to work on all types of Jayco caravans and motorhomes. Full training will be provided, and an opportunity to complete Certificate III in Recreational Vehicle Service and Repair.
About the Role:
In this hands-on role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our customers hit the road safely and confidently. You will work with a range of new and used caravans, completing everything from pre-delivery checks to servicing caravans and custom accessory fit-outs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service running gear, brakes, and wheel bearings - primary responsibility
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections on both new and used caravans.
- Diagnose and carry out repairs efficiently.
- Complete warranty and insurance repair work.
- Troubleshoot and repair caravan systems – electrical (12-volt), basic plumbing, appliances.
- Handle cabinetry and fit a wide range of caravan accessories.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high-quality workmanship.
What we are looking for:
- Experienced, preferably within automotive mechanics.
- Enjoys practical and physical work in a fast-paced environment.
- Is a strong, reliable team player.
- Effective communication skills.
- Has a positive attitude.
